BIOGRAPHY IDEAS

I put this together for my own benefit, but thought others could use it as well. Feel free to give suggestions for more! I got some excellent ideas and information using the book "Lessons from Great Lives" by Sterling Sill (the older version with no co-author has several more biographies than the newer version). Elbert Hubbard's "Little Journeys into the Homes of Great..." series seems to have some great information as well, but I haven't had a chance to read about very many people there. Another great source is "10 Great Souls I Want to Meet in Heaven" by S. Michael Wilcox. In planning for the presentation I've gone to other sources as well, of course.
The dates listed are when they were used in the original Vanguard group. The first two years we didn't use the history periods, but I'm over Leadership Academy for the Kaysville, UT branch, and we decided that under the Leadership Lens it was less important to have someone from the history period than it is to have someone that is a great example of the principle. Still, it's nice to have it organized this way.
As you'll see, the Middle Ages are pretty sparse! Help? :) When I was creating this, it was because I was studying all these great people and didn't want to forget about them as Vanguard possibilities. Apparently I need to study about more people in the Middle Ages.
